Path maintenance starts at Strath end of the Peffery Way

Highland Conservation Ltd, the contractor working for Highland Council, have commenced maintenance work today on the existing 500m section of Council promoted path between Strathpeffer and the Sewage Works. March work party

Our next “work party” will see us doing some general clearing & maintenance on the path. The work party will take place on Saturday, 5 March. Please meet up with Ian Searle at the sewage works car park at 10:00 AM.

A little bit of history

Seventy years ago today, the last train set off from Strathpeffer station … the destination was Dingwall. (read about it here) Now we are trying to, once again, open up that link … although only for walking and cycling. (more information on the Peffery Way)

Drainage work

Meeting at the old dump compound. Drainage work: bring spade, pick axe.  Wear gloves and boots.


Meeting at the sewage works area. Bring strimmers and grass rakes.  Also loppers and handsaws to tidy up tree felling debris
